What is tariff order?
A tariff order is the commission's decision that sets the rates and conditions your discom can charge. Also called tariff schedule, retail supply tariff order, RST order, MYT order.

Tariff order on your bill
The discom applies to its commission with its costs. The commission holds hearings and issues a tariff order.
The order has a tariff schedule with each category's fixed charge, energy rates and conditions.
Most orders apply for one financial year from 1 April. Multi-year orders set rates for several years.
The Act limits tariff changes to once a year, except through a fuel surcharge formula.
