Fuel surcharge this month
The monthly surcharge added to electricity bills in each state, from the discoms’ own notices.
Most states add a fuel and power purchase cost surcharge to every bill. It goes by different names: FPPAS, FPPCA, FAC, FSA, PPAC or MVCA. The discom works it out every month from what it paid for power, so it changes from bill to bill.
Only figures we have read on the discom’s, regulator’s or state government’s own notice are listed. Where the base is known, the calculator adds the current figure as its own line, and you can switch it off.

How it is charged
Some states charge a percentage of the energy charge; others charge a percentage of energy plus fixed charges, or a fixed amount per unit. Bills usually carry the surcharge for a month or two earlier, so the figure on your bill may not be the newest one here.
