MPEB bill calculator: Madhya Pradesh bijli bill

Work out your MPEB (MP discoms) electricity bill from the tariff set by MPERC. Enter the units from your meter reading and see the bill built slab by slab. MPEB is the old Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board. Three discoms (East, Central and West) now bill homes. All three use the same MPERC tariff. Got a bill already? Government schemes in Madhya Pradesh

Schemes that change what a home pays, read from the government order, the regulator’s order or the discom’s own notice. Checked 15 October 2026.

Atal Griha Jyoti Yojana In the calculator, on by default

Domestic consumers who use up to 150 units in a month (at most 5 units a day) pay at most Rs 100 for the first 100 units; a smaller bill is paid as it is. The State pays the difference. Units 101–150 are billed at the tariff rate. Above 150 units there is no subsidy that month. The billing system applies it; there is nothing to apply for.

  • The releases do not say which charges are inside the Rs 100. We count the energy charge of the first 100 units and the fixed charge.
  • We use a 30-day month (150 units). Your discom scales the limit to the days billed.
  • A 1 kW load limit appears in the 2019 scheme page but not in the 2024–2026 releases; we do not apply it.

Madhya Pradesh bill questions

How much is the electricity bill for 100 units in Madhya Pradesh?

About ₹100.00 for 100 units in a month, using the current MPERC tariff. Urban, single phase. With Atal Griha Jyoti Yojana applied (on by default; see Government schemes below). Electricity duty and the monthly fuel surcharge are not included.

What will 200 or 300 units cost in Madhya Pradesh?

Roughly ₹1,575.00 for 200 units, and ₹2,460.00 for 300 units. Use the calculator above for your exact units and load.

Are Madhya Pradesh domestic slabs telescopic?

Yes. Each band of units is charged at its own rate, so only the units above a slab boundary pay the higher rate.

How often are Madhya Pradesh electricity bills issued?

Homes are billed monthly. Enter the units for one billing period.

Which tariff order are these Madhya Pradesh rates from?

MPERC ARR and Retail Supply Tariff Order FY 2026-27, dated 26 March 2026, in force from 7 days after the DISCOMs' public notice. A link to the PDF is in the sources box on this page.

What does this estimate leave out?

Above 150 units the fixed charge is per 0.1 kW of deemed load (every 15 units = 0.1 kW). Electricity duty and FPPAS not included. The calculator adds FPPAS at 5.063% (bills for one month from 24 September 2026); you can switch it off. The example bills leave it out.

Is MPEB the same as the MP discoms?

MPEB is the old Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board. Three discoms (East, Central and West) now bill homes. All three use the same MPERC tariff.

Where is the consumer number on my Madhya Pradesh electricity bill?

The name differs by discom. MPMKVVCL (Central, Bhopal): IVRS. The table on this page shows where each discom prints it, when its official pages say so.

Where to find your consumer number

Your bill shows a number that identifies your connection. In Madhya Pradesh the discom calls it:

DiscomName on the billDigitsWhere to find itSource
MPMKVVCL (Central, Bhopal)IVRS—At the top left, on the first line. The longer Service Number is below it.MPMKVVCL bill (sample bill, July 2016)

From the discoms’ own websites, bill guides and sample bills, read on 17 October 2026. Where the source is a sample bill, we read only its layout: the label, the place and the number of digits. A dash means the official page we read does not say. Never share your consumer number with an unknown caller or app.

We could not read official pages for MPPKVVCL (West, Indore), MPPoKVVCL (East, Jabalpur), so they are not in the table.
