ebbillcalc estimates household electricity bills for every Indian state and union territory. It exists because most bill calculators online use rates that are years old or copied from each other.

Each rate here is read from the regulator’s own tariff order and stored with a page reference, and each calculator is tested against official examples before it is published.

The site is developed and maintained by Sri Murugan Systems, Madurai. It is independent and not connected to any electricity distribution company, regulator or government department.

Who runs the site

Murugan Vellaichamy is the founder and editor. He is an independent software engineer in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He is responsible for the tariff registry, the calculators and the checks on each rate.
