What is the consumer number in an electricity bill?
The consumer number identifies your connection; you need it to pay, check bills and complain. Also called consumer no., service connection number, SC No., service number, account number, CA No., contract account number.

Consumer number / service connection number on your bill
Each connection gets a number. Discoms call it the consumer number, service number, account number or CA No.
It is printed near the top of the bill and on payment receipts.
TNPDCL calls the service connection number the consumer number when you pay online. KSEB uses a 13-digit consumer number.
A new application gets a separate registration number for tracking. That is not the consumer number.
Give the consumer number in every complaint. Keep it with your bills.

A dash means the official page we read does not say. Never share your consumer number with an unknown caller or app.
