Many people search for the “ABC code” on their electricity bill. We checked the discoms’ own websites and bill guides. No discom or regulator document that we read uses this term.

What we found
- No UPPCL, PVVNL, DVVNL, MVVNL or PuVVNL page that we could read mentions an “ABC code”.
- Bill payment apps and forums use the term. They give different meanings, so we do not repeat them as fact.
- Use the number that your discom’s own website asks for. For UPPCL discoms, that is the Account ID.
