Questions

What changed in the new TNEB tariff?

From 10 May 2026, a home that uses up to 500 units in two months gets 200 units free. Above 500 units, 100 units stay free.

Why is my TNEB bill different from this?

This is the energy charge and any fixed charge in the tariff, after the Tamil Nadu Government subsidy. Your bill can also show electricity tax and arrears.

Are these 2-month bills?

Yes. TNPDCL bills homes every two months, and the slab limits are for two months.
