We use the FPPAS from the IPCL notice for October 2026 (0%), on energy + fixed charge. It changes each month.

The calculator does not add electricity duty. The State Finance Department lists nil up to 300 units a month and 10% from 301 units. We have not read the notification.

The calculator does not add meter rent or take off the rebates for paying on time or online.

IPCL home tariff

D(L): Domestic (other than lifeline), rural and urban. Each block of units has its own rate.

Fixed charge: ₹30 a month for each kVA of sanctioned load.
Discounts: 1% if you pay by the due date, and 1% more for paying online. 3% for a prepaid meter. The calculator does not take them off.
Tariff order: WBERC has not issued a 2026-27 order. The 2025-26 rates stay in force until it does.
Older MVCA charge: In August 2026 IPCL charged an MVCA of 35 paise a unit “till further notification”. Its FPPAS notices do not say if the MVCA stopped. Check your bill.
FPPAS (fuel surcharge): 0% for October 2026 (notice of 29 September 2026). IPCL sets it each month.
Electricity duty: Nil up to 300 units a month. 10% from 301 units (State Finance Department).
We have not read a current notification, so the calculator does not add it.
