In Andhra Pradesh, APSPDCL, APCPDCL and APEPDCL supply electricity. Complain to your discom, then go to the CGRF and then to the Vidyut Ombudsman.

  • 3 steps: discom, forum, Ombudsman
  • Official numbers and addresses
  • Checked 16 October 2026

Contact APSPDCL, APCPDCL, APEPDCL

We could not confirm an official helpline for this state. Use your discom’s website.

The steps, in order

  1. Complain to your discom

    • Complain to your discom office and write down the complaint number.
    • Keep your bills and any letters.
  2. Go to the CGRF

    • Find the forum address, email and phone on your electricity bill.
    • Discoms must also display them at all offices and substations.
    • Send the complaint in person, by post, email or fax to the forum for your area.
    • If you complain orally, the forum writes it down.
    • The forum gives an acknowledgement the same day or the next working day.
    • File within 2 years of the cause of action.
    • The forum decides ordinarily within 60 days of admission.
  3. Appeal to the Ombudsman

    • Appeal to the Vidyut Ombudsman within 30 days of receiving the forum order.
    • The Ombudsman can accept a late appeal.
    • The Ombudsman office is at the APERC head office: Vidyut Niyantrana Bhavan, Dinnedevarapadu Road, Kurnool 518002.
    • The Ombudsman decides ordinarily within 60 days of admission.

What we could not confirm

  • We did not confirm the discom helpline numbers or 1912 on official pages.
  • We did not find a separate postal address for the Vidyut Ombudsman. The regulation places the office at the APERC head office.
  • We did not find the meter testing fee amount.
  • We found no forum filing fee and no Ombudsman deposit rule in the clauses we read.
  • We used the APERC 2025 compendium. Its disclaimer says the gazette text prevails.

Questions

Look on your electricity bill. APERC rules require the discom to print the forum address there.

Can I complain to the forum by email?

Yes. You can send it in person, by post, email or fax.

How long does the forum take?

The forum passes orders ordinarily within 60 days of admitting the complaint.
